National Walking Month is an annual campaign that promotes the benefits of walking. It's an opportunity to celebrate walking's positive impact on physical health, mental wellbeing, and the environment - whether you do it for leisure, fitness or your daily commute.

During National Walking Month, the Ramblers and many other organisations share inspiration on social media, and invite everyone to get involved with local group walks or to just take a stroll.

If your hiking boots have been gathering dust in the garage for years, it's time to get them out. Perhaps you've lacked the confidence to try hiking or you're itching to go a bit further afield than your usual local stroll, the Ordnance Survey inspiring and educational articles can guide you.
